Songs to the Siren

The Model, home of the Niland Collection, Sligo

a new exhibition curated by Paul Hallahan & Lee Welch
24 Jan - 22 March 2026

'Songs to the Siren' is an exhibition that begins in an uncertain space. Curated by Hallahan & Welch, the show follows our work at Dublin Castle last year where we looked at the dualities of Flann O’Brien.

Here, the focus shifts toward the man behind the masks, Brian O’Nolan. It is an exploration of the quiet sadness of a figure who lived through pseudonyms and rarely appeared as himself. Taking its title from the Tim Buckley song, the exhibition gathers a constellation of works that resist resolution, favoring intuition and atmosphere over clear declaration.
